Review - Florida - Orlando - WDW - Magic Kingdom - Plaza Ice Cream Parlor

This is one of my Must-Do's on every Disney trip - visit the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor.

After you pass under the Railroad entrance tunnel of Magic Kingdom, you will soon find yourself on Main Street USA (the very, very busy area that leads to Cinderella's Castle in the background). Along the street on both sides are shops and eateries. At the end of the street on the right is the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. You will spot the long line before you can find the entrance. The line tends to wrap around along the side of the building in a roped-off queue. There's almost always a line - even on cold nights and rainy days.

My only complaint is the lack of seating. They have metal tables/chairs just outside but they are almost always taken and don't accommodate larger families. We usually end up eating further down the street.

The parlor has a menu that is pretty consistent (see photo). They also feature seasonal sundaes (like the Minnie Sundae) and Kitchen Sink Sundaes (a little plastic sink full of ice cream and toppings that you can clean out when you're done and take home). I find the mini sinks to be a great deal considering 2-3 people can eat from it and you get a souvenir to take home. Right now they have both Minnie and Mickey sink options. Not sure how long they will have the Minnie option.

You can customize your order - always ask.

They also have FREE cups of ice water.

Keep in mind on hot days the cones melt super-fast. So you might want to get your younger kids ice cream in a cup to avoid major messes.

The restrooms are located past the outdoor seating area next to Tomorrowland Terrace.
