Book Review - Travel Hacks by Keith Bradford
I stumbled on this fabulous book, "Travel Hacks" by Keith Bradford, at my local library while researching cruises and cruise ships (they were in the same section). This little book is packed with over 600 tricks and tips to make your travel adventures easier. Find tips for booking your flights, road trips, traveling with pets and kids, hotel rooms, and more. Get app suggestions. Find basic language and customs tips for several international countries. I'll just highlight a few that I found useful.
Tip #113 - Take a quick photo of yourself with your luggage before leaving for the airport. In the unfortunate event that your luggage gets lost, the photo helps the airline track it down and proves that you own it.
Tip #168 - When you are handed a luggage claim ticket (for when youy check in your bag), immediately take a picture of it with your phone. If it becomes lost, you can still claim your property without a hassle
Tip #188 - Always take a screenshot of your mobile boarding pass before you leave for the airport. You don't want to have to rely on an Internet connection to be able to get on your plane. (This has happened to me many times where the TSA is in a dead spot and my internet just spun and spun).
